Terms of Use
Effective October 14, 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Speed Volume app ("the app"), published by Matthew Flanagan ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies.
What the app does
Speed Volume adjusts your phone's media volume based on the speed measured by your phone's GPS. GPS speed can be inaccurate or unavailable (for example in tunnels, under heavy tree cover, with a weak signal, or when your phone's power saving or battery settings limit background activity). The app is a convenience feature and is not a safety or navigation device.
Speed Volume Unlimited subscription
- Speed Volume is free to use in sessions of up to 30 minutes. Speed Volume Unlimited removes the time limit and adds saved profiles.
- Unlimited is an auto-renewing yearly subscription. The price is shown in the app before you subscribe.
- New subscribers may get a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you're charged for the first year.
- Your subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Unlimited until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.
Using the app
- We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control.
- Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.
- We may update, change or discontinue features of the app.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise the app will always work, be error-free, or work with every phone, audio device or audio app.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any injury, accident, hearing damage, loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including the volume levels you choose. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Privacy
How the app handles information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post changes on this page and update the effective date. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, except where local consumer law gives you additional rights.
